Dr. Mohammad bin Saleh Alrajhi Endowment

for Department of Medicine Research

In 2007, Dr Mohammed bin Saleh bin Abdulaziz Alrajhi generously donated Five Million Saudi Riyals to Department of Medicine as endowment to support research activities of the department.

The capital amount has been invested to generate an income between 200,000 to 300,000 SAR annually.

The donor has stipulated general principles for distribution of revenues of this endowment.

The custodian of the endowment is the Chairman, Department of Medicine.

All financial, procedural and administrative policies of KFSH&RC are applicable to this endowment.

General Principles for Distribution of Revenues of this Endowment

Endowment revenue is allocated in 2 groups:

1. Alrajhi Awardsare published research projects and approved by Research Promotion Committee & ORA.

2. Alrajhi Grants – are ongoing research projects but not completed yet and has a strong potential to get completed (accepted for publication). It should be approved by both Research Promotion Committee & ORA.

Beneficiaries: 

2 category within the Department of Medicine.

A) Physicians in training (trainees) - Residents and Fellows.

B) Full-time physician - Consultants, Associate Consultants, and Assistant Consultants  

Department of Medicine follows a solicitation timeline, criteria and process.

After the solicitation, RPC will then evaluate each submission.

All winners are being announced during the Department of Medicine Annual Recognition Day either December or January each year.
